Maximum allows you to choose between the main scoring systems. When registering with 8Count, you will be be asked which system your teams prefer and will need to lock that in.
The Open Championship Series model was created by Industry Professionals after listening to the concerns of gym owners, coaches, parents, and athletes. Collectively, everyone wants their athlete to cheer or dance and work towards an end goal. But everyone needs a sustainable solution that is affordable, provides choices, and fits the needs of every program. The Open Championship Series model delivers those solutions to allow for more competition and increase competition!
The United Scoring System is comprised of nearly 60 brands and event producers. This system started with Varsity Spirit, but has expanded throughout the industry. Maximum will utilize the modified version presented by The Open.
YCADA is an organization that provides universal governance for the sport of youth/rec cheer, dance or spirit-related events, and encourages growth in the sport as a whole. YCADA establishes standardization in the areas of 1) Youth/Rec Rules & Rules Interpretation 2) Score Sheets and 3) Scoring Guidelines. YCADA also provides membership access to training, committees, and resources related to the sport.
At Maximum, we are committed to continually educating our certified contracted judges. This season, we are requiring all judges who work for Maximum to obtain our personalized Maximum Certification! Our goal is to bridge the gap between the subjective areas of the scoresheet and find common ground for our judges expectations for these opinionated sections.
