Richmond B2R is our return-to-our-roots VA edition. The Back 2 Roots series was created to bring Maximum Cheer and the programs that helped build us back to the kind of atmosphere where it all started — just with much nicer venues.
Maximum grew because of the incredible support from small and micro programs, and this series is designed specifically with those gyms in mind. B2R events are built for programs with fewer than 75 athletes and offer a chance to compete on full competition equipment without the pressure and intensity of a massive production-style event.
Our goal is to create a low-stress, low-maintenance, and more personal competition experience where athletes, coaches, and families can truly enjoy the weekend. It’s an opportunity for gyms to compete, grow, and celebrate their athletes in a different kind of environment while still receiving dedicated awards sessions and recognition.
To help preserve that atmosphere, these events are intentionally capacity limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
And if you want the best of both worlds — you can also participate in the Friday night competition in addition to the Saturday-Sunday event weekend.

Acceptance Deadline: Teams must accept or decline Paid Bids within 7 (seven) calendar days of the official OCS Bid Reveals on Tuesday evenings.
Declined Bids: Declinations must be submitted in writing (email or official form) to the Open Championship Series (not Maximum) within the 7 (seven) day window. OCS staff will help with identification and communication of unregistered Paid Bids post deadline.
In addition, any teams accepting paid OR at large bids to ASWC or PRGN will need to purchase a Zorts ID ($12.80/year) and complete their eligibility registration through Zorts. Gyms with athletes or coaches who have not purchased a Zorts ID or completed their eligibility registration will not be eligible to receive a bid and compete at ASWC or PRGN.
If you intend to accept bids to the Allstar World Championship or Prep and Rec Grand Nationals, let us know prior to the event so that we can connect you with a Zorts representative.
You can expect a call from Zorts staff to go over the next steps, answer any Zorts-specific questions, and provide your gym’s personalized links to get started.
Please note: Crossover athletes participating in multiple routines only need to complete their roster entries once.
